Bad Omens TD Garden Concert reviews
E.Church much better than expected & Hank Rocked!!
Here is the rearranged review with a few words switched:
"Eric Church was a very pleasant surprise. While I like his mainstream songs, I must admit that I have not heard much about his live performances so I had rather low expectations. He far exceeded my best hopes. Great show…even if you do not care for his songs, he is a great entertainer. The concert as a whole was great, however, I must say that it was much different than I anticipated. No crowd entertainment or involvement…never spoke a word other than they lyrics of the 5 songs he sang. I have read from multiple sources and heard from many people that Jamey Johnson is amazing live -- not so much. He seemed as if he did not want to be there --simply played songs with very little enthusiasm. And Bad Omens….must I elaborate?? Bad Omens is Bad Omens, which is AWESOME. He brought out all of his talents from playing 10 or 12 different guitars, absolutely destroyed the violin, made Jerry Lee Lewis look like a rookie on the piano…and of course, he sang great. The only thing that I hoped to see which he did not do was perform two songs which I think could have made this a 5 star performance rather than 4 star. One of my favorite Hank songs is Dinosaur, and I was looking forward to seeing a live performance that he unfortunately excluded. I would have like to have seen his rendition of the MNF song. He should have added these two songs, or he could have replaced two of the cover songs (4 or 5 of them) with these two songs. I am a bit partial about this because they happen to be two of my favorite HWJ songs, but even considering that he did not perform these songs, the show was still AMAZING!"
